What is Disorderly Conduct?
Disorderly conduct is a catch-all term for public behavior that is deemed offensive or unruly. As such, the term encompasses a wide variety of offenses from the mundane to serious. For example, a trivial noise complaint from an angry neighbor, an incident of public drunkenness, and instigating a fight would all be classified as disorderly conduct. Unfortunately, unwarranted charges of disorderly conduct can also occur if an individual is unfairly targeted by police.
